The Office of the Public Defender, Shelby County, Alabama is now accepting applications for Intern. Interns directly assist the attorneys and staff in providing client-centered, zealous, conscientious, caring, professional, ethical, and skilled representation of indigent persons charged with state criminal offenses in Shelby County, Alabama. Interns should be prepared and able to attend court hearings and trials, when required.
Skills required for this position includes punctuality, excellent research and writing skills; ability to communicate and work well with others; a commitment to obtaining justice for indigent persons. This position is designed for a student.
